A Whitney Museum of Our contries Art is an art gallery and museum in New York City founded in 1931 by Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney.

A Whitney Museum is particularly known for displaying contemporary Western art, possibly further higher-to-date than a Museum of Modern Art. These are best known for its long-standing tradition of hosting the biennial art show that displays numbers of lesser-known creative person freshly to the Western art scene.

Noted Western creative person Edward Hopper bequeathed many of his works to the Whitney Museum.
